Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
Center Plate Farms (CP Farms) is a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program that brings together locally grown and sourced seasonal organic produce from local famers in the Stockton and surrounding areas with families on a sliding scale cost. Free CSA produce bags and boxes are supplied to those who are low-income or have other needs, such as elderly, homeless, or pregnant, through a paid program for those who purchase a half-yearly subscription, twice a year.
The purpose of CP Farms is providing direct access to fresh, healthy, and organic food to communities from their own food ecosystem. Local and regional farmers have a continuous and direct communication channel with CP staff and can provide foods and food preparation classes that change with the seasons.
